Hi, Having problem installing front chain on case 1840. Was wondering if there may be something i'm overlooking, or whether anyone else has experienced similar problems. Thanks for your help

I have never worked on a case, so i'm working on what i know about Bobcat machines here.... Does the chain have a con-link? if so, it should be pretty straight forward.wrap it around the sprockets, install the con-link and you're done. If it does not have one, you will probably need to pull the sprocket off the axle.... Here is where a con-link is worth its weight in gold.

The replacement chain on an 1840 does not have a masterlink, it is and endless chain. To replace the chain closest to the out side is not bad. Remove the center sprocket cover and the axle. Feed the chain over the center sprocket and roll the axle sprocket back and feed the chain onto it and reassemble. If it is the inside chain you will have to remoxe both axles and feed the chain to the inside sprocket.
