Hi folks, I'm in the UK where the choice of used, tracked machines is (at the time of writing), 4 machines.... yes, 4.
Anyway, after much deliberation I've decided that I need to upgrade from a 2wd tractor with loader, and get something more compact that has tracks, so the options are skidsteer or skidsteer. I have 10 acres of land to manage, and a lot of that management requires lifting, shifting pallets, moving stuff and generally tidying up - not 'farming' in the true sense.
I've found a 2012 C227 from a dealer, that has 1200hrs on the clock. Hoping to go and look at it this week (work depending). My question really is, is there anything specific to look at on these machines, aside from the usual mechanical stuff (leaks, blowby etc). I've worked on lots of industrial/agricultural diesel machinery over the years so I know what generally to look for on machines, but nothing skidsteer spacific.
