I've owned my 630 for about 15 years now. It's never been a pretty sight, but it has always done what was needed of it. But it is getting a bit cranky and worn, so I've been thinking about tearing it down and cleaning it up. The current Wisconsin VH4D has its own share of issues and needs a rebuild. But I happened to pick up a Kubota D1402 pretty much for the price of scrap. It needs a little bit of work, but runs a heck of a lot better than the Wisconsin - and the X320 and truck are diesel, so the 630 is the odd one out. I've read the threads about the tapered shaft issue on the Wisconsin. I'm sure I can work something out to make the connection to the Kubota. But the other issue is the Wisconsin is air cooled while the Kubota is going to need a radiator. The Kubota is significantly smaller than the Wisconsin, so I'm pretty sure I'll be able to find some room for a radiator and fan. Any thoughts on this before I get my mind too set on it?
