I have a 2003 763g and when using it to scoop dirt the machine will make a squeal sound when the machine goes into the dirt pile and not push anymore. My concrete guy told me today that his machine use to do that and said the idler pulley was loose causing the belt to slip and make that noise. He also said I was loosing power by it doing this. Any thoughts?

It sounds like a loose drive belt, thats the sound they make when they slip. Chances are the belt needs to be tightened. If you have the operators manual that came with the machine it explains how to do it, its pretty easy. If memory serves, the inside back door may as well have a diagram on how to tighten it also.
