because its a real good deal on a set of no flat all rubber tires if it will work.whats wrong with the 10" 16.5 rims and tires, save your money for maintenance, why try and change it now, what would u gain, as far as if they fit or not, don't know for sure, but none the less, measure your bolt pattern from the 10s to the 12s and you will know right away, measure and call and have him measure his, problem solved,
They are both 8 bolt patterns and should fit fine unless there is a huge difference in offset. I happen to like wider tires better, because I am usually onsand, dirt or grass and they give more traction with less ruts. If you spend a lot of time on pavement the narrower tires rob less power from your machine while turning. The only thing to watch for is increased bearing wear with solid rubber tires due to a harsher ride. Otherwise go for it.because its a real good deal on a set of no flat all rubber tires if it will work.
Not to mention the taller tire will change your overall gear ratio increasing your max speed, but this increase in speed will come with a equal percentage of decrease in rim pull or pushing power. For some applications it would be fine but not the ticket for best all around performance.Ilooked at a s205 and got a guote with 31 x 12-16.5 high float, which iwould like to run for the ground conditions.Cons would be wheel spacers for chains, bucket may be to narrow also as you change machine stance, also could affect if you use 6' type blower
Thanks for the foresight in taller tires changing the bucket level /angle when digging. Have been scoping an old short & hard tire barge unloading Bobcat and swapping to stock tall tires. Need to figure changing the bucket pin heights into the equation. You guys are Good!I have an old 743 which came with fairly worn 12inch 16.5 tires . Its works well on snow or mud but struggles a bit turning on asphalt. If I had the choice I would prefer the 10inch 16.5 originals.
i appreciate the response from you guys. I only want the tires for demo and debris clean up which is a set of 4 for 1000.00 barely used. I'm going to keep my 10 x 16.5 and steel tracks i now for mud work if the 12" TIRES give me trouble. I do not anticipate doing any work other than residential yard work or residential demo clean up. I like to hear the advice though as it answers questions on issues that may come up that will already be answeredThanks for the foresight in taller tires changing the bucket level /angle when digging. I have seen a 743 with a well used set of 12's and it comes very close to rubbing the boom arms.i appreciate the response from you guys. I bought them and will be putting them on soon. They are some heavy suckers. I have to double check by I think they measure 32 inches wide total from top to bottom (side to side) I called solid deal who makes the tire. It turns out they are able to have new treads put on if ever needed and have a local office. They said those tires will fit but he said you may have to use the more shallw side of the rim so we will see. There is not going to be much room between the front and rear tires on either side. Im curious to see if there would be any point in putting tracks on it with the tires so close like that.I have seen a 743 with a well used set of 12's and it comes very close to rubbing the boom arms.
I think tracks would be a bad idea for the followingI bought them and will be putting them on soon. They are some heavy suckers. Sorry - I meant to say buy the tire...Sorry to hijack this a bit, but I am looking for a decent used (50%) 10x16.5 tire to replace one that is bad - email me if you have one laying around I can have. Thanks a bunch.
Im hanging on to my 10" tires bud.Sorry - I meant to say buy the tire...
