Disconnect the battery
Drain the coolant
Remove the exhaust pipe and radiator hoses
Turn off fuel and disconnect lines
Disconnect wires from starter
Unbolt relay block from frame
Disconnect engine wiring harness from cab harness
Disconnect throttle linkage and air cleaner hose
Remove engine mounting bolts
Slide engine out onto something that will support its weight
Installation is reverse of above but will require someone to help to align u-joint onto spline while you push the engine back in.

Do not remember the relay block on the frame
A 743 is quite simple to remove and replace. Just make sure you have a helper on hand to line the yoke between the engine and pump up when putting it back in. And keep your fingers away from the hole of the yoke when installing it, you don't want a few hundred kg engine pushing on one side, pump the other and finger in the middle.....

Let's hope it's going to run good as new now :)
I spent a few hours on one before, multiple sheets of sand paper. Even if it's not a mirror surface, as long as it's dead flat and clean, it should be good to go.
