Just pulled mine by myself except for a bit used 97 lb wife to push a lever to help over the lip piece of cake put new u joints in !!!!!!!!Disconnect the battery
Drain the coolant
Remove the exhaust pipe and radiator hoses
Turn off fuel and disconnect lines
Disconnect wires from starter
Unbolt relay block from frame
Disconnect engine wiring harness from cab harness
Disconnect throttle linkage and air cleaner hose
Remove engine mounting bolts
Slide engine out onto something that will support its weight
Installation is reverse of above but will require someone to help to align u-joint onto spline while you push the engine back in.
Do not remember the relay block on the frameJust pulled mine by myself except for a bit used 97 lb wife to push a lever to help over the lip piece of cake put new u joints in !!!!!!!!
A 743 is quite simple to remove and replace. Just make sure you have a helper on hand to line the yoke between the engine and pump up when putting it back in. And keep your fingers away from the hole of the yoke when installing it, you don't want a few hundred kg engine pushing on one side, pump the other and finger in the middle.....Do not remember the relay block on the frame
yes very simple 4 bolts hold it down on frame 2 fuel lines on mine and the wire harness and 2 ground wires but very easy you will need help guiding the universal back on to the pump shaftA 743 is quite simple to remove and replace.
