    825 Dash panel Controls

Mine has glow plugs AND a thermostat in the manifold but neither system is hooked up. It struck me as overkill but I figured I'd hook them up.

    825 Dash panel Controls

I pulled the fuel sending unit last nite and cleaned it. it works and has a range of 20-200 ohms. while everything else is out I'm going to look at the fuel p/u as well. My dash appears factory, Jess but only has the one gauge. maybe a later build(SN says 1981 build) where they were trying to...

    Chain case finds

Mine are internal. We were looking for the source of our mangled metal so we had already removed pedals, access plate, filter, etc. we went ahead and adjusted chains and checked wheel bearings. Getting the jam/lock bolt back in took forever. Great design.

    Chain case finds

The metal was a bolt, two washers, a nut and the split ball swivel out of a Heim joint. They were mangled by a chain encounter before the magnets in the bottom of the reservoir snagged them. When we started looking for their source we found a Bubba solution in place. The RH control lever is...

    Chain case finds

Changed two of three filters on my 825 today no problem. Started excavating third filter under foot pedals. Got pedals loose and shifted to the side Far enough that the inspection plate came off. Insides look good with no wear to chains, gears, etc. tiny bit of crud in bottom of case but it...

I am bringinging an 825 back from a 12 year hibernation. Read the manuals and Drained ancient diesel and 26 gallons of hydraulic fluid. Read (in manuals and on this forum) about draining chain cases. Tilted cab and found wedge shaped cover. Removed it(didn't break any bolts!!!) and found hydro...
