My left for dead lx485 is almost done. I have no power to the light switch. Does anyone know where the switch might get power from? I've checked the basics and haven't found anything.

A friend asked me to look at his 943 yesterday. It was working fine then lost most of its drive function. Right side growls and and makes small attempts to move. Left side is a little stronger. We cut one of the hydraulic filters apart, no metal inside that we saw. Boom functions still work...

I think you'll have to pull the engine, which isn't supposed to be too bad of a job. A friend yanked the 853's engine out to change the rear main seal and said it wasn't too hard. Might want to replace your front and rear crank seal while your in there.

Nice work on the 853. I just picked up a sad 853 myself that was used in a scrap yard. Its hemmoraging hyd oil out of the pump, but runs and moves. Where are you located in Canada?

Unless you already have the engine, Carrier transicold reefers use Kubotas, larger units use the V2203, which is what your machine has. Its pretty much a bolt in deal.

I had a 773G turbo last year. Absolutely loved it. Rust was getting the best of mine as it spent most of its life loading road salt. Lots of power for its size. Don't think the turbo is an issue unless it wasn't maintained. turbo version had 10 more hp over the non turbo version.
