    Starting Issues

Sounds like starter sol. My excavator did that and I had to replace the sol. Just out of the warrenty and guess what it's starting to do it again. You can check and see if you are getting power at the sol. and if it clicksin and sends power to the starter. You might also have Two sol.s if it is...

    ASV 4810 PLANETARY GEARS

As far as the hyd fluid that i used, I used Tractorsupply trans hyd oil. I did alot of looking and asv recomends there fluid and it is expensive but it is for higher heat use. I use mine just for a hobby farm and don't use it hard and I also warm it up good in the winter so people I talked to...

    ASV 4810 PLANETARY GEARS

I got the uhmwp here. http://www.professionalplastics.com/UHMWSHEETRODTUBE It's a plastic that is for high abrasive aplications. I got two tubes 1in x 1 1/2in x 8ft and cut them to lenght. I had to get two and had enough left over for half of the other side. If you want to do both sides get...

    ASV 4810 PLANETARY GEARS

I have a 4520 that I rebuilt the planatary box. Go to the asv website and download the manual and it will give instruction on removeing the tracks. Follow the instructions or you will have a hard time. They are heavy and only go on and off one way. I would pull the planitarys apart if they were...

Lift cylinder or valve body problem?

might be sucking air. If you have a loose fitting or very small leak. Raise and lower to the stops and see if it stops it. leaddog

NEED HELP!! One Track Won't Move

Yes that is the type of planetary box but it looks to me the weak spot is the seals. It works in such a dirty enviroment that the seals can't keep the dirt out. Alittle dirt in timken bearings and things go bad. Asv says to replace the oil at 50 hrs or no warrenty and change often. It's quite...

NEED HELP!! One Track Won't Move

Great news. Sounds like you lucked out like I did. When you look inside one of those boxes You can see how just one tooth comeing loose could wipe out the whole box but they are really tough. Mine had the bearing pieces rolling all over and it still was ok. Good idea on having the oil checked and...

NEED HELP!! One Track Won't Move

If I remember right you could take out the two bolts holding the hyd motor in and the motor will come out as it is coupled with a sliding coupling. I took my hoses loose and didn't loose the oil but because I had to change the oil I might of drained it before removing the hose. But even then you...

    PTO to Skidsteer Snowblower Conversion

Looking good. Just a couple thoughts. I now see that you are not going to be going through the old gear box. Make sure the old box was 1 to 1. With a single stage it might have been a step up box so the rpms would be off. Also I have a 7ft 2stage blower that I run with my 40hp tractor with the...

NEED HELP!! One Track Won't Move

Jack up. Have some one move the levers and you should be able to see if the track flexes where it is hung up. If it's the planatary the track won't flex. It could be the outside bearing on the planatary or one of the bogy rollors. I had my planatary go out. I hadn't had it long and had been told...

    PTO to Skidsteer Snowblower Conversion

Are you going to make an 3-point att attachment plate and put the pto drive on that so you can use it for other 3 point attachments? I'm planning on doing that this spring as I want to run my 7ft snowblower, brushhog, and tiller. The only problem I forsee is the attachments will stick out...

    need help modifying snowblower

I have a asv 4520 and it has the pto built in. I'm planning on removing it and putting it on a 3pt att plate and then I can run my snowblower and other attachments with it using the lift arms. That way I don't have to by a seperate motor for each attachment. I think you can do the same. leaddog
