I have an M610 that is repowered with a Honda 24HP engine. It was working fine when the belt started coming apart, so I replaced it with a OEM belt, same part number. When I installed the belt, the power just isn't there anymore. Just lifting the bucket bogs it down to where it will almost quit...
Well, I'm still no closer to solving the problem in my Honda GX670 engine. The coils are checking out. I have strong spark on both of them and I put in new plugs. Since I'm getting good spark the engine stop diode must be OK as well. When I start it up it will run for a few seconds and then die...
What kind of special gear do I need? I found some instructions online for measuring coils with a multimeter. My manual didn't say which pins to measure, only that the primary should be .8-1.0 ohms and the secondary should be 4.9-7.1k ohms. I just measured both to see what results I would get and...
I pulled out a coil and tested it. I don't really know what I'm doing but I think what I'm coming up with is a reading of 18. The specs say it should be between about 5 and 7 kOhms. So maybe the coils are my problem.
I had this trouble a couple weeks ago and replaced the air and fuel filters at that time. It purred right along last time I used it so I thought that had been the trouble. It is getting spark because it will run for a little while. However, I have not replaced the plugs in three plus years, so I...
I have a Honda engine in my melroe 610. I was plowing snow this morning and the engine started dying slowly until it just quit. New filters and all. Any idea what I should check first?
I just looked at the air and fuel filters and they both badly need replacing. Maybe that has something to do with it. If that doesn't do the trick I will try the timing. Thanks!
I have a Melroe 610 with a Honda engine in it. It has always been underpowered when working at higher speeds, but it has suddenly gotten much worse, nearly stalling when even lifting the empty bucket and moving at the same time. Does anyone have any advice for me on what I should check first to...
Thank you very much! I really appreciate it. I have noticed that it is doing better after some use, so I expect you had it right with the fluid on the drive belt. About the drive shaft, I didn't know what to call it. I have a Honda engine in it and it's the shaft that comes out of the engine on...
I don't know much about hydraulics, but I know I broke a hose that leads to the drive shaft. Of course, I lost a lot of fluid. When I replaced the hose I put in about 4 gallons. I'm not sure how full to fill the reservoir. Do I just top it off? The bucket works and high speed power is better...
