Yes it has a switch and a little metal tube that the wire runs through . The tube however is rusted through in one spot and the cable might be compromised , also if the lap bar is flipped up it doesn't seem to keep it from creeping so I wonder if it could be something else ? I will try a new...

I tried running 12+ directly to the compressor and it didn't click or anything ... Which made me think it was the clutch . however I replaced the thermostat and that fixed it . also had a leaking o ring on high side at the compressor . it's working great now !
