I agree and would look around for someone that buys it in bulk
I've been reading a bunch of forums trying to figure out what else I can use. TSC has hydro oil for $2 @ qt. Because if these hydro drive motors are bad this is going from a shop project to an E-Bay project real fast.

When the cylinders are bottomed out they are still filled with oil on the rod side of the piston so that is bad oil also. I would not be flushing it with $5 a qt oil. Use lower price hyd oil or motor oil, whatever is on sale till you think it is cleaned out.
Thanks Jerry, I think you just found my missing 3 gallons.

If the valves were stuck open I think you found it but you can look at loaderpartsource before you ebay it
Yea I think I'm going to go with the cheep oil and see what happens. I only bought it as a toy for the stuff that won't fit under the lawn mower (flowers what flowers, I didn't see no stinkin flowers)

Ok the new guy has another stupid question. Don't know if I should start a new post for this or not. Do hydraulic cylinders lock up? I took one end of each cylinder loose from the machine took the hoses lose and moved the cylinders in and out to recover my missing oil. One of the cylinders that raises the arms will not move. with a come along and both hoses off it will not move. The arms were going up and down before I started this project.

New day new problem. Flushed as much old fluid out as I could New filter new fluid. It all looked good both sides were working forward and reverse. I let it run for about 5 min. to bleed the air out of the system when I heard a bang. The left hydro motor stopped working. I pulled the motor back out and found it had sheared the roll pin where the shift linkage rod goes into the swash plate. What could cause this? I was thinking it was because I did not have the control rods hooked to the motor.

But now I back to my original problem.... parts. My local dealer doesn't sound to interested in me because its no a 80k machine.

As long as I have it apart I saw a couple of seals that I would like to replace (save all my new fluid). If he has to order them I found a place on line and will get them there. I know what you're saying about the dealer. the lift pump runs off a lovejoy connector he wanted $35 for the rubber insert. Local motor supply house sold it to me for $15.
