Hello all. After plowing snow last winter in my father in laws 743 with no glass in the cab, I'm going to fix that issue. I can get my hands on some good lexan to do the top, rear, and sides with. I'd like to try and find an original door if possible. Id even be happy with just the frame of a original door. I haven't been able to locate one anywhere though. I was also thinking that I read somewhere on here quite awhile back that a door off a older Cat 226 skid steer will also fit a 743. Either way, if I domfind a original door, which I hope I can, obviously the door won't cover the two lower areas to the right and left of the tilt cylinder. The area where you step out. I'm curious what is supposed to go there. There is factory holes drilled, so I'm guessing there is pieces that bolt in there? If anyone knows or has ideas of what I could do it would be much appreciated! Thanks, Kyle

I had the same cold issue with my 763. I just posted below you about how I put a door from a newer model Bobcat on my older 763. There are photo links at the end of the writeup. You may be able to find a newer door. I looked for years for an original door and could not find one either.

i see them on craigslist from time to time. bobcat used the same cab from the 743 until they released the g series which was rounded. close to 20 years, so they are around. however i see guys put the newer rounded style on the old cabs sometimes, they seem to fit

You could try Bobcat Salvage Yard Grand Tower IL, 618*565-2607 I found a rear grill for my 743B there. Or Schaefer Enterprises (another salvage place) 618-833-5498. Or Buddy's Service and Supply Salvage, used and rebuilt Bobcat parts 701-427-5460.
