Changed the sensor and still had the code but it was intermittent. Long story short, there's a junction box under and towards the front of the machine from the air filter housing. Inside there are many, many wires that I'm told wear through and short onto each other. Sure enough, that was the problem....several wires had the insulation worn away from years of dirt in there and the bouncing around. Dealers recommendation(aside from renewing the engine harness) was separate the wires and pack it full of silicone caulking....worked like a charm and haven't had any issues. Worth a look.
