Hi, I have an S185 and the heater and a/c isn't working. I've tried replacing the fuse in the cab. It just blows as soon as the blower switch is turned past 1. I've pulled the switch assembly out and nothing is burnt. Now I've lifted the cab up and taken the rear panel out and can see the fan blower assembly, ac condensor. How do I take it out? Does anyone have any pictures or a DIY for this? Is there a way to test the motor to see if it works or not without taking it out? I've read that there are two sets of fuses. One behind your feet in the cab, and one set in the engine bay near the hinges. I have not found the second set (engine bay ones). Anyone have any idea what could be going on? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, gmang35

The engine bay fuses are used on the older f and c series loaders.
Don'r believe the G series has any there.
Have you downloaded a manual to troble shoot this?

probably the easiest way to troubleshoot is to unplug the fan wiring harness, near the HVAC unit behind the cab, and then turn the key on, move the fan switch and see if the fuse blows...if yes, there is a problem other than the fan....if no, it's probably the fan motor gone bad. I have found that sometimes the back up alarm switches can cause the same fuse to blow...the terminals on one switch can get shorted by the small bracket for the other switch.
The HVAC unit has 4 ( I think) bolts that hold it to the backside of the cab, 1/2" wrench romoves the nuts. You'll probably have to dig around in the foam to find them all. Once it swings down you can access the fan motor for repairs.
