Message: <blockquote data-quote="pdcequipment" data-source="post: 140269" data-attributes="member: 24836">Like the topic header states, I have an S150 that the lap bar is ineffective.  I bought the machine with the lap bar sensor removed and wire nuts holding the sensor plug together - and the park solenoid is removed and the parking pawl zip tied up...I purchased a new sensor and hardware, traced the wire numbers with the diagram and verified I had power and ground on the proper numbered wires and hooked up a new plug.  Here is where things get crazy.  Without having the sensor installed, just the housing connected to the plug I can reach up and press the green button and activate all the hydraulics.  Now, remember, the sensor housing is just dangling and not actually connected to anything - and the magnet isn't inside the housing either.  BUT!!!  If I disconnect the sensor housing the green button can't be activated so it is as if the lap bar is up.  As soon as I plug the sensor housing in I hear the park solenoid activate and the green button can be activated.So I figured the sensor housing was bad - right?  I bought a new one AND IT DOES THE SAME THING!What in the name of reverse engineering is going on?  Am I missing something?  The wiring diagram seems to imply the 3 wires go directly back to the control module so does that mean the control module is bad?  How does it know if the sensor housing is hooked up or not if the magnet isn't in there to activate it?  Surely I don't have a bad (old) sensor housing and a bad (new) one too?!?!  I put my Power Probe across the leads and I have one ground, one power, and one that I'm guessing is signal - like I should.  If I rotate the magnet inside it appears to have no effect.  If we use the Power Probe to cross the tabs on the sensor housing and rotate the magnet we get nothing.  It's like it is on all the time when plugged in and then can't be activated when it is unplugged?This is an awesome machine with high flow and I am really enjoying using it, but I would like the parking pawl to work and also the lap bar for safety reasons.  Any ideas what I'm missing or where I should look next?  This one defies logic and the manual's troubleshooting says nothing about when the lap bar sensor is stuck on...</blockquote>
