OK, I've tried out my Brushcat and it works great. One small problem about 30 minutes into the job at my mom's house Friday night shut me down for the evening. It was an operator error. The hydraulic hoses pass through a hose guide at the bottom of the Brushcat deck. The first night I used the attachment, I thought the hoses hung a little too far out to the left of the machine and might get caught on some trees. There is what I though to be a second hose guide on the top lid of the Brushcat (looks just like the lower one) so I routed the hoses through them the second time I used it at my mom's. Guess what? The upper hose guide is actually just the handle for the cover and is not meant for the hose to go through. Every thing was going good for the first 30 minutes of the job, then I though something got wrapped around the shaft of the blades so I lifted the attachment and tilted it down to inspect the blades and shaft. With the hoses routed through the upper handle, the hoses became taunt and parted the quick coupler. I ended up replacing both female quick couplers (one on the machine and one on the Brushcat end) to the tune of $65. I also bought extra quick couplers in case I every damage one again on the weekend when the dealership is closed. BTW, the couplers on my machine and the ones on the attachment hoses are different so I had to buy 4 (male and female for the machine / male and female for the attachment). I may even buy spare hydraulic hoses that run from the attachment to my machine. Down time costs too much money, not to mention wastes too much of my own time also.
