On my machine I needed 17" to get the tank out. So you need a lot of wood and be careful. I used a floor jack with a board to support the tank out then in. Don't forget the fuel sending unit wire. It will be a plastic tank. You may be able to find someone to weld the hole. Will save you a lot of money. Lock the boom up. I took the bucket off also. I used two jacks to raise the machine.
