hydra mac mitey mac..adjust chain tension?

I know you loosen the bolts on idler assembly on sides of machine but not sure if suspending it with a jack will be too tight? should I just jack up the assembly until snug then back off little? what is the procedure? thank you!

Don't use a jack!
There is a adjustment shaft inside to put tension on the chain.
Back off the lock nut a little, tighten the adjustment nut, Lightly snug it.
Then tighten the shaft locking nut.
when you remove the top plates, you'll see right away what I'm talking about.
It's a little tight working inside.
