Hi, a few years ago I had a short in the wiring loom of my truck and had to get an auto electrician to fix it. From memory this is how he found it. He had a sealed beam 12v headlight with about 2 meters of wire soldered on the back of the light to each pin, and a flat spade type adaptor on the other end. He then plugged these two spades into the fuse holder that was blowing fuses. The light was on because of the short in the loom, then he carefully wriggled every piece of loom he could find until the light flickered, then he untaped the the loom to find the short. It took about 15 minutes to find the loom had worn through the insulation where it ran across the back of the bellhousing. It looked pretty easy when you know what to do. thanks Gazza
