Hi y'all I am new to this forum and new to skid steering. I got myself a 2019 CAT259D3 and when i get used equipment i always do a full service. What i found was devastating. Oil plug torqued to the sky, oil filter almost fell off by itself, hydraulic fluid filter cartridge housing over torqued and partly broken, both security devices (red) on both sides broken off, different tracks, one track sprocket replaced the other not so much, ran into something going backwards and broke the condenser, blower shot ($ 622 official CAT price for that flimsy thing !!!)got it for $ 84 including shipping from truckac.com) and on and on. Now I am about to replace the cab struts, but it seems they need to be compressed and i don't know how. Is there a tool or is it possible to move the cab further back allowing to put the struts in without compression? After the service the CAT ran just fine but now, she developed an electrical issue. Doesn't start, battery almost new and fully charged, new starter switch. Putting in the key and turning to 1 the screen starts flickering and the relays start to rattle. Turning the key further screen turns black relays rattling stops. Taking the key off the switch, screen turns on for a while and then dies. Seems like a ground issue for me. Did anyone experience this as well and knows what to do? I am planning on starting to work on the ground cable between cab and frame. All cable connections around the battery including the poles have been cleaned and sanded.
