I'm sure most of you know i bought a slightly burnt 751 with a Peugeot engine. The fire wasn't really savage but it was enough to eat a lot of expensive parts. FULL wiring harness back to the dash, blower, blower housing, fuel tube and oil tank, there are other small parts too. The engine was in un-known condition, it has 4,500 hours on the clock so i really wasn't sure if it was going to be any good. I went to start it up today, plugging off burnt breather pipes. I had a quick look at the injectors as the tap off lines were burnt and sure enough, there was rust down them. I spent about an hour pulling the injectors down, cleaning and re-installing. After a few hours of fiddling, i hooked up a battery and i got it started, it runs smooth as! MUCH better than any Kubota i have ever run.... I was really leaning towards doing a Kubota conversion but the way it runs, i'm not so sure now. When i get time, i will post piccies of the progress, i'm currently waiting on a manual so not a lot will be done for a little while yet. At least i know the engine is a runner, the wiring is really scaring me..... Everything else i know i can work out.
