Boom Goes In Opposite Direction

Pushing forward to make the boom go down, but instead it goes up sometimes. Happening sporadically. Looking for ideas. Thanks!

if this is a newer design machine I would think it is the joystick giving bad signals to relays,might help to list model number for others to take a guess at issue.

Older 2005ish Mustang MTL16. Happens randomly. Did it yesterday on a jobsite. Turned it off and on, and it seemed to fix itself.
