After making a few calls - I think the most cost effective route will be to rebuild the engine (as long as the rear main journal on the crank cleans up OK at the machine shop). If the crank won't clean up correctly - I'll have to do some thinking as a new crank from Bobcat is over $800 once you include tax. Ouch!!! I must be getting really old - I seem to remember high performance rebuild kits for small block Chevy's costing less than that - for the WHOLE KIT! A reman unit from Bobcat is $3,456 plus tax. Actually not a bad warranty: 1 year with unlimited hours. If I was using the machine all the time - the unlimited hours would be of substantial interest. I only have a couple of projects to knock out and the machine will probably go up for sale. Any thoughts on a different series engine? Maybe a D1100? (made up the number). I have no idea what or - if - there is a different series that would allow everything to bolt up/on. You guys always have great ideas and input. Look forward to anything you have time to post. Thanks, Jim

[QUOTE="tttahoe1, post: 73269, member: 3180"] Team, Long time. Hope everyone is well. I just acquired a new project: An MT55 with a boo boo'd motor. The Kubota D902 spun the bearing on the rear main.
