Anyone know what thread size/kind the Aux fittings on a 630 are. I'd like to replace them but am hoping to have the proper fitting ready to thread in place and reduce the mess/fluid loss

I'm sure they are 1/2 inch npt , at the local bobcat dealer here flat faced 1/2 inch couplers are about 10 bucks higher than 3/4 inch thread ones so its actually cheaper to get the larger ones and use a reducer. I just bought a set and I think they were almost $70 for both.

Those connectors look like my Pioneer type couplers on my 743. I didn't realize flat faced couplers were that reasonable from the BC dealer, $70. Hmm, it looks like another project.

I hate to disagree, but those look like -8 (1/2") ORB ports. The thread would be 3/4"-16. With pipe threads, there would be some thread showing between the back of the coupler and the hex on the bulkhead fitting. In the picture, the couplers appear to thread all the way to the hex, which is indicative of an ORB port. HTH

Skid you are correct that the fitting threads all the way to the bulkead/mounting plate and I had a feeling they were not NPT myself- the reason I posted here- Thanks

At Discount Hydraulics you can get a pair of 1/2"FF 1/2"npt for about $47 plus shipping. The 1/2" ORB are way more ~ $135 per set. I've already got a set of relativly new pioneers so I'm going to get the set of 1/2" npt at the 47 and make my own adapters for now

You guys are right, I never changed them on the machine just the attachments and those were npt. If I had bought the 3/4 npt from bobcat they would have been around $50, 1/2 inch was more because they are not used as much I guess.

Thanks SR, I'm still in the early stages of learning about hydraulics and appreciate the correction. Ancomcabs, how are you planning to make an adapter?

I would say those fittings pictured have a #10 spt = straight pipe thread boss oring fitting , which is the old school term for it , my hydraulic supplier also gives me hell when I ask for spt , a #10 JIC will screw right into a #10 spt ------- the QC'ers screw onto a bulk head fitting , if the nut on the tube side of the bulk head fitting is a 1" wrench sized hex then the thread of the couler is #10 (5/8) with an oring around the base -----------
