I don't want to go through another winter of freezing while plowing the driveway so I decided to add some heat. I wanted something that is tucked away and compact so I decided to add a Maradyne Fans HF-200012-M I found new on ebay for $120 US. I installed it behind the seat and had to debur the square holes a little for the round 2-3/4" blower outlets. This heater core has adjustable louvers. I drilled and tapped 1/4" holes which avoids removing any items to install nuts. I used a thin cutting board to make a bezel/grill to hide the hack job I did to cut holes on the back panel. The 2 speed switch found a home on lower back panel to keep the wiring short and simple. 12VDC came from a aux plug. I found 2 coolant plugs which used a 7/16" square plug. I had to buy a plug socket set on Amazon to get the front plug off as there is no room to get a wrench in there. The return plug at the pump inlet was easy to get at with a wrench. Note the coolant needs to be partially drained before removing these plugs. For a "heater control valve" I used one of these, as it can easliy be reached from the back door..its the red valve in the photo. https://www.greenlinehose.com/buy/product/green-line-5-8-hose-barb-to-3-8-male-pipe-brass-angle-valve/7941?text=5/8%22+valve I added an after market door but still lacked side glass,. In the mean time I tried this collision wrap but the adhesive doesn't stick well to old paint even after a soap washing. Here is hoping duct tape keeps things attached long enough to get through another winter.
