As you got a new pickup tube, you have thought it too. If you squeeze the primer bulb, if it feels solid, I think you don't have air, but if you squeeze it and get a helper to crank the machine, see if the extra pressure helps at all.If the shut off solenoid moves, i'd hope it's allowing fuel to get to the injectors. I am unsure of the setup you have to know how much it needs to move to do so.</blockquote>
