No the hydraulic filter is positioned almost over the Tstat housing. I just removed the filter and it drained enough fluid to remove the lines. BUT!! I have BIG problems now. The tstat housing was rusted to the bolts and would not come off. I tried a hammer and a punch to work it off, but it wouldnt budge. I BROKE THE LOWER HOUSING! Anyways, got the water pump off, etc and i managed to get the lower and upper housing off together. I had to beat the housing off severly to seperate the 2. There was no way it would of happened in there anyways. The stat is date coded '92!! Never been changed. So now my question is....is the lower and upper tstat housings available from Kubota? What $$ will I be looking at? Thanks for the help!
