I assume it has the Deutz M1011 engine with the fuel cut-off solenoid on the right hand end of the engine as viewed from the rear. How did that burn up? That fuel-cutoff solenoid should actuate as soon as the key is turned on. You should not hear that solenoid click later. The new fuel solenoids have a funny harness and extra connector that you have to work around somehow (called a "pipe").
