Hello all, first time forum user, so please forgive me if I am posting in the wrong place here. I have a Bobcat T200 SN 518917194 that I have recently replaced the R side steering pintle arm on, as well as complete the neutral adjustment. There is a loud squeal with forward/reverse track movement after I completed the job as well as a slight hop in the track, almost as if the brake was sticking. This issue did not exist before the steering arm replacement. I am by no means knowledgeable when it come to these machines but I do have a full service manual. Has anyone experience this issue, or could anyone give me a good idea of what to look at first? Thank you in advance for any insight.

So did you had the hydrostatic pump apart? Because that is the only way you could have replaced the pintle arm.
If not could you please post a picture of the part you replaced.

Excuse me, it was the Steering pintle lever

I only replaced the pintle lever, I had the steering linkage apart, the centering plate, as well as a hyd return line that passed through the centering plate from the case up to the hyd filter. I want to believe that my neutral creep adjustment, or some kind of cavitation issue is to blame. The hydro fluid is clear however. No froth or bubbles in the sight glass. Would an improper centering plate adjustment cause the squealing?

I second the question from fortworth-cowboy; did you have it up on blocks or jack stands to adjust the neutral creep out of it?

I did, it is still on the jack stands. I must have done something funny with the neutral creep adjustment? With the machine running the tracks are stationary until moving the sticks, which is immediately accompanied by the aforementioned screeching.

It may also be worth mentioning that the squealing is coming from what seems like closer to the final drives, not so much from the HS pump. I have not entirely ruled out bad rear idler bearings, but they weren’t noisy when it came in the shop.

Can you make a video?
Did you replaced the pintal shaft seals? Did one of the bearings popped out?

I didn’t do anything with the pintle shaft’s. I actually only replaced the RH side pintle lever, and I thought setting neutral would be a breeze having the left side as a baseline. I will take a video first thing in the morning detailing the horrible sound

Just getting back to figuring this machine out after tying up another few projects. It hasn’t thrown any codes, and the display in the machine is showing 421psi charge pressure at full idle, and 366 psi at idle. I don’t currently have the means to hook a gauge up and test let alone know where to hook up to. My service manual is sorely lacking in the troubleshooting department. Any pointers?

Ok find your hydraulic hoses from the brake solenoid to the drive motors. Get an JIC 6 cap and plug and cap one side off and then try to drive the machine on that side and vise versa. The side which gives you issues is the side where the brake section lets the charge pressure bypass.
