Hi, sorry if I open this topic but in Europe it is not a very widespread brand, what can you tell me about these John Deere machines in terms of performance, reliability and efficiency, comparing them with the other more renowned and widespread brands, if I have not misunderstood, John Deere has done a joint venture with hitachi I think I'm wrong or I misunderstood thanks, regards.

John Deere has been about a long time making equipment, and the fact they have been for so long proves they have been reliable and compatible with like models of other brands
ALL brands produce lemons and have had a few BAD models over the yrs, there is no perfect company that only makes perfect machines,
they all break, have weak points and pro's and con's
one of the most important things IMO< to any machine lasting or not is, how its cared for and used and NOT abused, and IMP this matters more than the brand name it wears!

another key important part of owning any brand is dealer support, so, buying the brand that you have the best dealer support, often, is more important than the brand name, (I am speaking of the basic well known brands here and not off the wall made uncommon name brands)


as for John Deere being part of another company,
well, pretty sure most brands also use parts , motors, and so on and or share things with other brands or are part of several company's!

SO, its not uncommon at all for one brand to be part of another,
it doesn't mean good or bad ! Its just business and mostly done to lower costs for all involved, and just like all things there are pro's and con's to this
But there is nothing WRONG with JD equipment
