Wheel bearing bad joke

I just bought a 1994 case 1845c with bad wheel bearings. Looking at the lube chart I see that the bearings are suposed to be greased every 250 hours. But some fool at the factory placed the grease fittings right next to the wheel so that you must REMOVE THE WHEEL IN ORDER TO GREASE THE WHEEL BEARINGS. Does any one else have this defect? Certainly no one would be stupid enough to expect an owner to jack the machine up and remove the wheels every 5 weeks just to grease the wheel bearings.
