It is with some trepidation that I write this.
On one hand, I'm very grateful this site exists. Lots of great information, lots of help.
But the need to only use IE is so 1990s. Of all my devices (Mac, PCs, iPad, iPhone), I probably use IE on this site a few times a year. Thus I can read it, but never reply. So I reply a few times a year. I feel bad that I don't contribute more, but it's just too much of a pain to have to use IE, when Safari (and Firefox or Chrome) are more easier to use on more of my devices. To be honest, my iPad is the forum reader of choice; it's just so much easier than a PC or Mac. But it can't post since this site is IE specific.
Being in the field, I understand the complexities to migrate this site to a different platform. It will be a large task. But can the owners consider this? phpBB and vBulletin seem to have quite a following based on the other forums I am on. And they seem to play much nicer with the platforms more users are on.
Thanks for the consideration,
...karl
