I own a Bobcat 751 with peugot and it wouldn't start. I ran through the normal checks in trouble shooting. When I checked the coolant level, it was empty. I had been running the day before with no problems, i.e. overheating, A week before I was using it to load hay and the engine reved high, I put the throttle alway done and that did nothing and after that I turned the engine off, removing the key from the igintion, and that didn't stop the engine. It stopped shortly after that and I allowed it to cool and was able to get it started back up and loaded on the trailer. After doing what trouble shooting I could on my own, refilling the coolant lost, checking both oilf levels, checking over wiring. I found nothing wrong until I tried to start it up and coolant ran out of the block. As a note, I was using the machine the day before moving brush using my grapple bucket and this was a week or so of the reving incident. It did go the mechenic after that incident and that was chalked up to bad fuel. The mechanic came out to my house to diagnois the coolant issue and found the water pump seal was blown out. After that was replaced and the 751 was turned over it shot out a stream of coolant, not from the water pump. And coolant could be heard leaking but the source couldn't be located. So the mechanic said he believed it to be a crack in one of the water jackets, an internal issue. After hereing this I was wandering if a blown head gasket could be to blame? As a note, the mechanic works for our local Bobcat dealer. My next questions are how much is a rebuild kit for the Peugot in a 751? And do you offer a complete rebuilt engine available for the 751 with my Peugot being sent back as a core? Also is a Kubota conversion kit avaiable for the 751, as some 751 came with the Kubota? Thanks...
