New Holland LX665 any good ?

I currently own a late 70's L775. The gear box is making alot of noise and it just spit the driveshaft for the second time. I had to pull the engine to change the u joint so I am pretty much done with this machine. I found an LX665 for 8,000 with 5500 hrs. Is this a good deal ? How is this machine compared to what I have ? What should I be on the look out for ? I have found a ton of LX665 Electrical problem threads..Are they know for that issue ?
