Im an automotive technician and in the near future will be building my own house. I have a pretty big place and could use a skid steer to help with some chores. I was contacted about a low hour (500) Case 410 for sale. I was told it needs an engine but do not know the specifics of why. I looked at the machine and its really nice. The engine is all there but you can somebody has spent some time in diagnosis because the valve cover is off and all the injectors are disconnected. I'm a good auto tech but not a huge into the diesel field. My question is if somebody could provide me a reasonable value to offer this person. I really dont know how much I would have to put into it. The seller told me a new engine from Case is 5700.00 and if this machine was running it would be worth 13,000.00. I'm open to all opinions.
