Bobcat 743 TA1919V10R piston set housing cracks??

I had a bent input shaft that I replaced on the pump. While cleaning it up to paint, I noticed what looked like cracks. I used a wire brush tool to get a better look.

In this close up, it looks like the factory paint is painted into the crack.

Has anyone seen this before? Is it just a cosmetic/outside defect from the casting process?? This is on the end that has the vane pump on it. I did not see any cracks on the inside when I had it apart, but I wasn't looking for them.

I think it's just casting marks, check it from the inside to be sure as i'd have thought they would have gone all the way through if they were indeed cracks.
