Any thoughts/suggestions on a W3253 Code??

New here but searching for a little direction on a S250 that has this W3253 code come up when switching from hand controls to foot controls. "Lift handle short to ground". It works fine with the hand controls, but would be nice to have the foot control working. Is the code actually telling that possibly there is a wire rubbing shorting to ground? And since it says lift, it means lift, like left side? Haven't done a visual inspection of it yet as it is a few miles away. Thanks for your help here

Since it works find in hand control mode I'd check the wiring to the actuator at the foot pedals on the lift side. You could have a bad lift actuator on that side.

Haven't looked at it yet, maybe next week Just had a new actuator put on for the lift at the control valve. Is there a part called an actuator also at the foot pedal? Haven't looked what is down there at the pedals that sends an electrical signal to the control valve actuator?? Thanks
