Will the 8811 backhoe fit on an 863 and will the 863 handle it ok? There is one coming up for auction and any info would be appreciated.

i think it would handle it fine, but i think an 811 is what is meant for an 863 not an 8811. i don't think they mount the same.

i think 8811 is for 873 and 883 however i'm not 100% sure on that. best bet is to call bobcat.

Here's what Bobcat says about the 8811 back hoe -
Max. dig depth: 11 ft 4 in
Fits models:870s, 880s, S220, S250, S300, A300, T250, T300
Years produced: 2002 - ?
P/N: 6812598
Mounting:Latch Mechanism
Stabilizer style: Fold down
Swing style:Rack & pinion, Cushioned cylinder
Options:Street pads

The 8811 Backhoe features the same work group as the 811 Backhoe.
One mounting kit (P/N 6813148) for S250, S300, T300 and A300 loaders.
One mounting kit (P/N 6814459) for 873 and 883.
The 8811 Backhoe offers 4 inches of ground clearance.

I have an 811 and the 863 will handle it well. As far as the mount on the newer 8811 I cant comment but if you are capable they can be modified. My 811 was run on an 1845C before it went on my machines. I have a full size backhoe and rarely use the attachment but they do work well and have suprising dig force. I would also suggest over the tire tracks for use with the hoe as I have been hung up more times than I care to remember with just the tires.
