remove the cover and check to see if the linkage is broke or slipping on the shaft, could be the pads are worn out or the linkage just needs to be adjusted. when you put the cover back on be sure to seal it up good so water don't get in.

I agree with lfutrell on the possible causes. Try the easy things first like adjusting it and see if it holds. It's a bit of a pain to get to because you have to raise the cab but doesn't take much to do. On my 732 where you have to remove the seat, I just replaced the regular linkage with a piece of ready rod so I can adjust it right at the pedal. Makes life MUCH easier! Good luck!
