542b control operation

i have a 542b, i know that the sticks make it go back and forth but i was wondering if there was a better description as to what each was capable of doing.also the right one is my ausillart control ,anything special about how to operate it. is there a float somewhere.thanks

Float, you should be able to push your right toe all the way forward to engage it.
