'06 317 700hrs wont start.
2 weeks ago while working machine pretty hard it cut out like as if the brake was set and the handles moved fwd. Wouldn't restart til given a shot of either. ran fine for atleast 30 mins after that then parked.
today crank only and will light off with some spray.
checked water seperator and tried to reprime. primer was struggling to pull fuel so I replaced inline filter and filter serperator. reprimed to bleed screw but primer will not get firm now. Seems to draw fuel just fine now. how can I prime to injector pump and injectors?
Confused!!!

Very little info.
I only have the operators manual. Need to get a service manual.
"Pump primer until a significant increase in resistance is felt, indicating fuel has filled the galley of the injection pump."

Thats all it says.

Giving up and having a technician come out to look at it.

Update for any body with similar prob in the future.
JD certified tech arrived and had it trouble shot in less than 5 mins.
Shut off solenoid was bad. Took access plate off lifted plunger manually and it fired right up.
Parts from JD dealer were 208$ and 75 for the service call.

Tar Heel Diesel is the name of the outfit if somebody is local and needs a good shop This place gets my 110% endorsement.

Rear of the engine basic sitting straight up at 12 o'clock.
has an access port to take the pin out of clevis and lift shutoff manually.
I can get you pictures tomorrow if needed.
