I have a 1980 Bobcat 825 skid steer that we use pretty regularly. It has always worked really well until recently I went out to plow snow and the drive coupler spline stripped out. It is a constant velocity joint that bolts to the flywheel then the other end is a splined yoke that slips onto the splined pump shaft. The splines are worn bad on the part that bolts to the pump shaft, the splines on the yoke side are completely stripped out, and the constant velocity joint is trashed as well. I need this whole unit with the splined yoke and splined piece that goes on the pump shaft. I went to my local Bobcat dealer and they told my they can no longer get parts for my machine. Anyone know if this complete coupler is available anywhere or if a fabrication shop could make this coupler? Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.
Tom.

The Bobcat Parts Online catalog shows that the yoke and splined adaptor, with parts numbers that are not listed as NLA, so they should be available somewhere.
6540658 is the part number for the yoke
6540655 is the part number for the spline adapter for the pump.
If a dealer can't get the part, use a google search, often Bobcat parts will show up on Amazon or Ebay.
If no parts are available anywhere, I'd probably drill a hole through the whole thing and put a grade 8 bolt in to keep it from spinning, but that's kind of a last resort thing.

Wow, thanks Flyerdan! I certainly appreciate your help! Looking through threads, I saw that Bobcat of Anderson, IN was a good source of parts. So I called them with your info and they said they could get everything and should have it in a couple days. Those guys were very knowledgeable about our old 825 and is hooking me up. So thanks so much! You are a hero for the day! Tom
