    Info/help on this hose?

There is only one fitting to get a wrench on. Assume it is on the hard line and that the hose is threaded into it, but I could be wrong. Barely any room back there to get a wrench on. May try to get a pipe wrench on it, just to keep the hard line from flexing or breaking. Just need an octopus to...

    Info/help on this hose?

Bobcat 742. This hose blew. Got bottom connection off easy, but can’t get the upper loose. See pics where wrench is attached. Looks like this goes to a metal hardline. Hoping this does in fact come apart, and I don’t have to replace the whole thing? If I can in fact remove, anybody know which...

Bobcat 742 left drive side weak and whining!!

Right side is smooth and drive fine forward or reverse. When I move the left stick (especially to turn) either forward or reverse, I notice a decent whine, along with a lack of power. What is somewhat odd to me is that if I am moving both sticks at the same time, the whining is almost...

Bobcat 742 Running Rough - Any Thoughts??

Hey everyone, Thanks for the info. I took a look yesterday for a few minutes and changed out the in-line fuel filter and tested the electronic fuel pump to see if it was failing. In my opinion, it was pushing fuel pretty damn well, so I dont think thats an issue. I can do some of the things...

Bobcat 742 Running Rough - Any Thoughts??

I have a 742 with the Ford 1.6L 4 cyl gas engine. I have been battling an issue where sometimes I start it up and it runs great, while other times, I start it up, and I have to keep the choke on, or it will start to sputter and die. Sometimes after playing with the choke, you will hear the...

Bobcat 742 - Runs fine for a while and then dies/needs choke to run

Ok, so I have a 742 with the Ford gas engine. Recently I have added new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, points and condenser. I have been having an issue where it will be running fine for 20-30 minutes, and then after a while, it will start sputtering and die. Then, it will only start and run rough IF...

Bobcat 742 - Overheating Issue? Any thoughts?

Hey craigb93, I would definitely be interested in that muffler. mine is completely rotten. Do you happen to be in the VA area, or would you ship it? Let me know how much you are looking to get for it and we can hopefully get it done. would beat buying one for $120 online! thanks,

Bobcat 742 - Overheating Issue? Any thoughts?

Tazza & craigb93 - thank you for the very helpful information. it is much appreciated. I got out to the 742 last evening after work and added some "Rislone high mileage compression repair with ring seal" to the oil. Bobcat 742 - Overheating Issue? Any thoughts?

Hello and thanks to any/all helpful information anyone can provide regarding the below issue- I recently bought a 1989 742 with the Ford 4cyl engine. I bought it on the cheap from a homeowner because it was leaking hydraulic oil pretty badly at the time and he could not figure it out. That same...
