    843 oil cooler leak

I just purchased a new to me 843. I had a pretty significant oil leak it was blowing through the cooler and radiator and getting everywhere. I thought it was the hard line but after testing the line and cooler it is definitely the cooler. Is there anywhere that sells these aftermarket? or could...

    741 Hydrostatic troubleshooting / repair

Well I've decided to have the pump rebuilt. I'm shipping it out to Michigan on monday. After pricing out the plates, rotating groups, and yokes/camplates, its much cheaper to have them rebuild it. AND it comes with a 1 year warranty! time to get some new lines made in the meantime

    741 Hydrostatic troubleshooting / repair

Can the barrel of the rotating group and the wafer plates be lapped? Or should I be buying new rotating groups and plates? I'm going to try and figure out how to post pictures of the wear

My gauge only read about 2000 psi so looks like a rebuild is in order. Tazza, do you recommend pulling the pump out from the front or...

    741 Hydrostatic troubleshooting / repair

Ok I just ran it for about a half hour and it seemed better but when I dig into a pile and try to spin the wheels I can barely get one side to turn and it whines and grinds. if I push both sticks forward the wheels do'nt move at all. It just makes a bunch of noise when both sticks are pushed...

    741 Hydrostatic troubleshooting / repair

Hi Tazza! That bronze filter is the one that I have changed a bunch of times. I was surprised to find my hydraulic fluid looking like whole milk so I will be flushing the system multiple times today to try and clean everything out before I start pulling things apart. I'll give an update after I...

Bobcat 741 (same as 743) pintle lever sloppy & weak left side

Hi Tazza, Sorry I missed your reply. Ill try to describe it the best I can. With the engine running and both levers in the neutral position, the front lever (right side control) stays straight up and doesnt move. The Rear lever (left side / problem side) moves towards the front of the machine...

Bobcat 741 (same as 743) pintle lever sloppy & weak left side

Hi all, I was taking apart the linkages because the sticks were sloppy and left drive function is weak. I've already tried swapping drive motors and there was no change. I noticed with the machine running on the ground the rear pintle lever which controls the left drive was bouncing back and...
