Not sure if setup is same on your machine as my S250. Mine had that issue repeatedly. Fuel bulb would flatten out and sputtered after priming and running a little while. Pumped fuel out of filler hose access and it was clean so deduced it was bad, kinked fuel pickup tube. I bagged out on...
Yea It should be dry under the side cover. There should be little drain holes on each side of the chain case at the rear that would drain that area but it gets plugged up with gunk. You can clean it out behind inspection cover behind rear wheels. Could be hose, control valve or the drive...
Bearings are First thing to check when you see leaky seal. I did rear Axel /bearing replacement on s 250 and Id do it again. The ratcheting wrench is the tool for that job. Some hydraulics lines had to be removed for rear is difference. I had to modify a wrench or two get to some of...
there are two plugs under the access plate, one is chain case and one is fuel tank. Prolly have do dig thru some gunk to uncover them. might want to get a new rubber plug before you uncork that.
I did seal Axel surface sleave on mine with Axel in place but it was just a sleave and seal kit from bobcat, it didn't have the flange on it like yours. So is that a number for an aftermarket product? That looks like a better product than the bobcat version.
Yeah, thats good information! I re- use old hydraulic oil or new 30 wt motor oil in mine mostly, Gearlube would probably work but it's not what bobcat recommends. I actually wonder if it would be better in real hot weather,
Check the bolt torque on Axel shafts. I had to purchase a straight ratcheting wrench to get good pull with cheater on sprocket Axel bolt as there is not space to fit a big socket inside case. The sprocket bolts need to be to torque specs (which it a lot) as that tightens up on the cone...
If chain breaks or jumps off sprocket they cans do a lot of damage binding up inside the case and could
cost more to fix. I replaced my chains when I started hearing a popping noise like the chan trying to jump off sprocket. It would happen right after making quick pivot then going...
I have foam filled tires with tracks on S-250. Been running them about 1000 hrs . When I have tracks on Im careful about keeping straight lines , multi point turns and going slow. I have no doubt if you put an operator in there doing 180's in in big rocks and stumps and logs or running at...
