I have tried to open the yellowtv training downloads linked by skidsteer.ca in the training forum but I can not seem to get it to work, I believe my computer is set up properly as well. Has any one had any luck with those? They look interesting but I am afraid the site probably went belly up...

I have not been on for a while so I hope this helps....I looked at my MD70 and I am sure that the barn shaped lug will go into the openings on the sprocket as long as the width is the same. The approach angle of the lug to the sprocket is not severe. Let us know what you decide. Thanks, JEFF

It looks like Fishfiles 442 post confirms my notion to stay away from computer controlled machines for my limited use. Any more ideas on decent older machines? I know that some of you have older favorites in mind that you wish were still out there as new! Thanks, JEFF

I can feel another project coming on and was trying to figure out what series was the last mechanical machine sold. I don't need all the bells and whistles (and headaches) that come on the new machines. I am just starting to do my research so I am ready if a unit shows up next week or next year...

This is not a solution to the problem but a way to deal with it and hopefully get most of the big stuff out with use. My old ASV had enough rust in the tank to plug the inlet to the filter and the tank comes out right after the engine so that was not happening! I plumbed in a filter...

I wish I was actually answering your question but as i am sure you know Cat and ASV shared most everything for a while (ASV with a CAT sticker). You might try the Cat section of this forum for some other folks with Perkins knowledge. My old ASV is too old to be of any help...Good Luck, JEFF

You are getting great advice here! I have Miller and have always enjoyed good customer service from them (on my junk auction buys, They have rescued me!). You can look at Millerwelds.com and go to their discusion page for a good forum and lots of info. Buy more machine than you think you need...

If you can find the casting number on the cyl you should be able to find the original aplication in a Wagner master catalog or casting interchange book. I just did this on a 1949 Cat 212 grader brake system (old Studebaker 1ton pick-up parts). Most real parts stores should have these books...
