    2005 john deere 250,

Sounds like a sensor somewhere connected to the parking brake making the machine think the brake is on and disabling the boom. If the machine moves, the sensor is not turning off hydraulics or setting the brake.

    Full throttle and steel tracks

Hello all- Just wanted to shout out a huge THANK YOU for all of you that have helped me maintain my old workhorse Bobcat 773G turbo through the years. Really appreciate everything. Today I just have two simple items. I've met several Bobcat and skid steer owners in my area that say they run...

    Steel tracks over wheels

Thanks bridge builder. Speaking of bridges, is that what you do?

    Steel tracks over wheels

Thinking about putting some Tracks-plus brand steel tracks with spacers on my pneumatic wheeled Bobcat 773 turbo. New engine, original hydraulic pump. 1800 hours on machine. Does anyone know what kind if any power loss I might see? Tracks plus spacers weigh about 500lbs. Thanks.

    Bob-tach bent

It's the 'plate' on top that hooks into the implement. I made some progress yesterday by putting the weight of the front end on the spot. It moved a good bit. I'll try the hammer technique for the fine tuning. Thanks. Just didn't want to harm the tilt cylinder on that side.

    Bob-tach bent

One of my 773 g bob-tach attachment plates looks like it's bent. Hard but not impossible to hook up any bucket. Anyone out there know the best way to bend it back straight? I'm assuming the plate should be in a straight line with the other side. Do I need to take the bob-tach off? It's the...

    Bobcat 773 fuel tank removal

Thought I'd take out the fuel tank and clean it out while the engine was out. Followed the manual - drained the tank, removed the bracket that holds the tank in place. I can pry up the front ( nearest the back of the machine) but it seems like something is holding the front of the tank in place...

    Rebuild kit for Kubota

Can anyone recommend a good quality aftermarket rebuild kit for the Kubota V2003T four cylinder diesel engine? There are several on Amazon. Thanks.

773G Kubota engine and pump removal

Hello all- Getting ready to remove my engine/pump on the 773G. Engine is the Kubota 4 cylinder and has the lift points bolted to the head. Are these safe to use for the entire engine/pump assembly or should I use something else? Any other gotchas to watch out for appreciated. Thanks!

    2001 773G head removal

Great. Thanks. I figured as much. Is there any reason to pull the pump that I'm missing? While we're talking about it, I will pull the fuel tank and clean it out, fish out the pick-up tubes and replace the coolent hoses on the back side of the engine. Is there anything else I should do while the...

    2001 773G head removal

Decided to pull the engine. Question while I'm waiting for the manual to come in the mail-this Kubota sits sideways with a belt to drive the hydraulics. Can't I disconnect the belt and pull just the engine? I'm a little nervous about disconnecting all hydraulic lines, draining the hydraulic...

    2001 773G head removal

Thanks Tazza- Had a local diesel mechanic over today. I think we agreed to just pull the engine ( because I want to keep the machine for a while ) and tear it down and reman it like a long block. Trouble is you cannot find a long block anywhere, so I guess we'll do our own. Question- since...

    2001 773G head removal

Thanks for the reply. It looks like I can pull the engine by itself without the pump assembly but maybe I'm wrong. Hard to see in there. The engine sits sideways and connects to the pump with a drivebelt. Anyway, pulling the injectors and cranking it-if coolant comes out I suppose that means I...

    2001 773G head removal

Hello all- 2001 773G turbo, overheated once or twice but didn't run it hot. Now coolant in the oil and guess I've got a bad head gasket or crack in the head. I just drained the oil and coolant out of the crankcase, drained all the coolant out of the radiator, refilled crankcase with oil and ran...

The novice guide to the Bobcat drive belt tensioner

Just went through a learn as you go process for the belt tensioner on my 773G Bobcat, so I thought I'd pass along a little newly learned knowledge for anyone out there that may need it. I changed out all the belts on my 773 and noticed that the main drive belt tensioner was not really moving the...
