743 Fuel Primer Bulb

Seems like some knowledgeable Bobcat guys on this forum. I am trying to chase down a problem I am having with fuel starvation on my 743. Was runnning great prior to my decision to replace all 4 glowplugs. Of course I had to remove 3 of the fuel injector lines and the intake manifold. Now the bobcat starts but it has no power. I can run it wide open and it revs up to full RPM but it bogs down with much of a load. I think I bled it per the instructions and still having issues. I plan to replace the fuel bulb located in front of the fuel filter. I would like to increase the length of the fuel line from the tank to the bulb and the buld to the filter. Currently, it is on a very short line and it is a real SOB to reach in and try to pump while looking under my armpit to see if the bubbles are still coming out of the vent. My question is: Would it work to put a longer fuel line on it so I can pull the primer pump closer to me so I can squeeze it properly while easily viewing the vent? When not in use, I could curl it up on itself and set it all back on the shelf that currently holds the primer. I could even fashion a way to attach it there so it doesn't wander around the engine compartment. What do you guys think?

when i need to prime it, i open the bleeder. squeeze the primer bulb until it is firm. then start the machine. let it run for a 30 seconds or so then close the bleeder.

You do know that little wheel on the pump is a bleeder?

youre issue probally lies in a clogged fuel pick up screen. you can go back oem but I always thought the glass water drain was stupid. if was my unit . A . remove fuel tank dump drain and clean 2 bolts two lines two wires . ( youre going to find a plethora of crap in the tank) clean and flush.. . reinstall replace fuel pick up tube and screen. lose the little butterfly valve. order the fuel filter mount that goes with 6567352 fuel filter and mount where you can reach it put a squezzy ball in line about 6 inches before it. and you be done. 100 bucks 1 hr put to bed forever
