My Bobcat 763F has aux hyd lines capped off(left side of motor above battery). Don't know why. I need to put aux lines on it for grappler but don't know if they are 1/2 or 3/4. The capped hard lines are 3/4. Anybody know what size lines I need? Any reason not to run rubber lines the whole length, about 96", instead of putting a steel line in the middle section? thanks

No real reason why you couldn't but you need to make sure they are secured to the arm good. Hoses can get snagged easier than the steel lines. For full flow they should be the same as the rest of the system. The steel lines are still available from Bobcat.
Might want to put a gauge on the capped lines to make sure the aux. works first in case they took the lines off for a reason.

I looked at putting hoses on the boom of my 440B when I added aux hydraulics to it.
The problem I ran into was trying to get the hoses to route cleanly and secure them in a manner that so they would not snag on anything. Hoses have an much larger OD than tubing, and they have a much larger bend radius.
In the end, I went to Bobcat for the tubes, they were only $50 a piece.
By the way, the aux hyd tubes on our 773 are 1/2" OD, maybe 5/8" tops. They definitely are not 3/4" OD.

My 763F has 5/8 inch O.D. lines. I would definitly get the tubes. They run along the lift arm on the left side. I don't think you can bend the rubber enough to avoid pinching them at some future point, as the guys have pointed out to you. Good luck
